Busy Buttons

Busy Buttons CORE Charity

About us

We are committed to helping every child use creativity and imagination to achieve their unique potential. We work across the local community in Windsor and beyond, offering creative programmes and learning experiences that promote the arts and heritage to create a positive sense of participation, contribution and wellbeing.

Our programmes are designed to help children to positively respond to the world around them, and the challenges they may face with ingenuity, imagination and kindness. Through a series of sessions and workshops, children from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences and abilities come together to learn and create through the power of theatre, film, storytelling, art and culture.

The experience of creating and achieving for children who have struggled in mainstream education, or who have faced discrimination and stigma because of their physical or learning disabilities or needs is hugely powerful. Through their work with Busy Buttons, they find acceptance, the opportunity to achieve in their own time and using their own skills, and this builds their confidence in their own abilities and their feelings of self-worth.

Demand for our services is increasing. We need your help to continue to provide these valuable experiences for local children and young people.

Please consider making a donation to improve the lives of local children and young people.

£25 could pay for an art kit for a child in your community, helping them improve their wellbeing.

£185 could pay for a child from a low-income family to take part in a creative educational programme, reducing loneliness and isolation.

£500 could pay for a workshop for several young people to learn and create together, finding new friends along the way.

"I know that without the confidence that my experiences at Busy Buttons gave me I would not be feeling as good as I do now." 12 year old participant.

"My son has always struggled at school and in other settings due to his severe anxiety and his very low self-esteem. Busy Buttons was the first setting which got to know him and to understand him and his individual needs." Mother of 7 year old participant.
